New York City's GLBT softball tournament.
Thanks to everyone who participated in
Playing for Life VII last September.
You were all part of an event that we are proud to say
was enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
Last year’s edition of the Big Apple Softball League’s
annual charity tournament was a fun and rewarding experience.
In 2010, more than 30 teams from across the continent and around
the corner came together for a weekend of competition and
fellowship for love of the game and in support of SAGE: Services
and Advocacy for GLBT Elders, last year’s beneficiary
organization.
Playing for Life VIII will keep that spirit of fun, fellowship
and philanthropy alive in 2011.
The tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be
commemorated throughout the weekend, and, appropriately, the
beneficiary will be a local GLBT youth organization in memory of
a BASL member whose life was ended prematurely as a result of
the attacks on that date.
To demonstrate how
We welcome you and your teams to take part in the festivities,
and share the winning spirit with us this September.
Please accept our invitation: bring friends, spouses, and
other teams from your league and join us for a fun weekend of
sport and community.
Ask anyone who was part of Playing for Life VIII… you will hear
that our annual September celebration of softball is something
special. Keep checking back at this web-site for
information on how you can experience Playing for Life VIII in
See you in September for another “Winning Weekend”!
